ETHOS 2008 – Changing the World… one household at a time

ETHOS 2008 - Changing the World; one household at a time
Mark Bryden, January 19, 2008

Next Friday evening at 5 pm we kick off the 2008 ETHOS Conference with food and friends at the Baymont Inn. Bring your pictures, we'll have an informal slide show at 7 pm.

As you may have anticipated we have continued to grow. Currently we have 99 people registered to attend and based on past late registration numbers we will have 120-140 participants. Fortunately, Northwest University has a new science complex that they are willing to let us use and it is perfect for our conference.

A draft schedule is attached. You will note that we are going to 3 parallel sessions, this should create a much more relaxed conference with presentations that have time for more depth and discussion. In addition, based on comments from last year we have increased the time for meals and breaks to give a time to discuss stoves and other AT projects in greater depth.

In the past there have been many requests for the list of participants, but we have been reluctant to provide this based on privacy concerns. Please let me know by Thursday morning if you do not want your name and email address provided to the group.

If you need transportation from the airport, just drop us a note.

IF YOU ARE PRESENTING...
This year the talks will be 1/2 hour in length, this should provide 20-25 minutes for the presentation, and 5-10 minutes for questions.
Please check to make sure that your paper is included and that it is in an appropriate session.
Any questions or corrections just let me know.

Looking forward to seeing you in Seattle next Friday!

Cheers
Mark
