Simple Tin Can Chimney

Simple Tin Can Chimney
Lanny Henson May 2006

I developed a method to connect cans, buckets or drums end to end. This could be handy to make chimneys, burners, gas generators, grain silos or possibly charcoal units.
This method is simple, requires no electricity, just hand tools.
I hope this method will be useful to someone in stove development.

I connected two coffee cans to build this duct/chimney with grate, 6"/15cm diameter X 12.5"/32cm long.

Mass production of stoves has its place but methods that an individual could use too build their own appliances would be useful. For methods to be practical they should require minimum skills, work off grid and use common materials.
