I am glad to inform you that Oorja and First Energy Private Limited will continue its journey to provide sustainable energy solutions!

We (Mukund Deogaonkar another colleague who started this project in First Energy/BP) have teamed with The Alchemists Ark, a successful business consulting company headed by Raymond Moses & T Sreeram, to take this venture forward. This Emerging Consumers Business (ECM) with the brand Oorja, technologies, and the biomass pellets plants have now been fully transferred from BP. We continue to have strong conviction in the strategic significance of the opportunity in sustainable energy solutions to bridge the energy divide in emerging economies including India. And that the solutions such as Oorja will address matters of energy security, social/health impacts and environmental challenges in emerging economies.

Support of several well wishers within and outside BP and our continuing conviction and faith in larger good from the business, have ensured this successful transfer

I thought it fit to connect with you since I am aware there has been several questions on continuity of this effort on the stove lists/web forums and genuine interest in those. And since you host the site, I send this to you.
